Joseph P. Yamin

Joseph YaminAttorney Yamin enjoys a diverse practice, including representation of business and individual clients with a particular emphasis on construction and commercial litigation. Often, he acts as general outside counsel to his business clients providing regular advice on legal issues tailored to his clients’ strategic plans. Attorney Yamin represents contractors, business and real estate owners and developers in a variety of unique and complex transactions. He played a key role in advocating for legislation which was enacted to protect payments owed to sub-contractors on Connecticut construction projects. Attorney Yamin also serves as a Court appointed arbitrator in the Connecticut Superior Court.

In addition to his legal practice, Attorney Yamin is an active member of the community, serving previously as the Chairman of the Waterbury Board of Finance and on the Board of Directors for the Waterbury Development Corporation. He has worked closely with the City’s various boards and municipal officials. Presently, he is a member of the Waterbury YMCA’s Board of Directors.
